Ilmington

A Grade II listed property set on a north facing slope with extensive views of the village and the Warwickshire country side beyond. Over the years Oxford Lawns and Gardens have carried out some pruning work within the garden but recently have taken on the whole garden maintenance and design. The current owners have been patient to wait and see how the garden changes over the four seasons. The garden is mainly informal with some borders, lawns and a mixed orchard with other specimen trees. Many of the dry stone walls require attention and this work is due to start in Autumn 2020. We have put proposals forward to the client and currently starting to rejuvenate several parts of the garden. In the meantime, we have a constant battle with perennial weeds such as ground elder, couch grass and bindweed which occurs in most of the borders.
