Arts and Crafts Garden

Oxford Lawns and Gardens took over the maintenance of this large 3 acre garden in 2003 with the remit to improve the previous maintenance programme.

We began by improving cultural conditions of the site to improve plant vigour and shape as the existing soil conditions were wet clay which dried to a hard pan in summer. All the wall shrubs and roses required retraining and wiring and parterres and individual topiary forms all reshaped. The garden comprises of large lawns which has an extensive range of lawn treatment throughout the year. A small orchard and numerous trees around the garden require pruning and lifting.
